Father, I desire that they...whom Thou hast given Me, be with Me where I am, in order that they may behold My glory, which Thou hast given Me -- I know Whom I have believed and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until that day -- He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.
      Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win. And everyone who competes in the games exercises self-control in all things. They then do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable -- let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us fixing our eyes on Jesus the Author and Perfecter of faith.

If Thy presence does not go with us, do not lead us up from here. -- I know, O LORD, that a man's way is not in himself, nor is it in a man who walks to direct his steps. -- The steps of a man are established by the LORD; And He delights in his way. When he falls, he shall not be hurled headlong; Because the LORD is the One who holds his hand.
      
       I am continually with Thee; Thou hast taken hold of my right hand. With Thy counsel Thou wilt guide me, and afterward receive me to glory. -- I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

SING for joy to God our strength; Shout joyfully to the God of Jacob. Raise a song, strike the timbrel, The sweet sounding lyre with the harp. -- He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God; Many will see and fear, And will trust in the LORD.
       Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go. -- the joy of the LORD is your strength. -- Paul...thanked God and took courage.
       Knowing the time, that it is already the hour for you to awaken from sleep; for now salvation is nearer to us than when we believed. The night is almost gone, and the day is at hand. Let us therefore lay aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. Let us behave properly as in the day, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and sensuality, not in strife and jealousy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts.

YOU shall make an altar as a place for burning incense...and you shall put this altar in front of the veil that is near the ark of the testimony, in front of the mercy seat that is over the ark of the testimony, where I will meet with you. And Aaron shall burn fragrant incense on it...every morning when he trims the lamps...and...at twilight he shall burn incense... perpetual incense before the LORD throughout your generations.
       Jesus is able to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them -- the smoke of the incense with the prayers of the saints went up before God out of the angel's hand.
      You also as living stones are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
       Pray without ceasing...with all perseverance and petition for all the saints.
 

HE found Jacob in a desert land, and in the howling waste of a wilderness; He encircled him, He cared for him, He guarded him as the pupil of His eye. Like an eagle that stirs up its nest, that hovers over its young, He spread His wings and caught them, He carried them on His pinions...Jehovah alone guided him -- Even to your old age, I shall be the same and even to your graying years I shall bear you! I have done it, and I shall carry you and I shall bear you, and I shall deliver you.
      He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil for Thou art with me. Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me.
     Jehovah will continually guide you and satisfy your desire in scorched places and give strength to your bones and you will be like a watered garden and like a spring of water whose waters do not fail -- For such is God, Our God forever and ever. He will guide us until death -- Who is a teacher like Him?

OPEN my eyes, that I may behold wonderful things from Thy law. Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures -- The Helper, the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name...will teach you all things -- Every good thing bestowed and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights.

       The God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory...give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him: the eyes of your heart being enlightened, so that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe in accordance with the working of the strength of His might.
 

THIS is not your rest -- There remains therefore a Sabbath rest for the people of God -- where Jesus has entered as a Forerunner for us.

      In My Father's house are many dwelling places. If it were not so, I would have told you, for I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself that where I am there you may be also -- with Christ, for that is very much better.

      He shall wipe away every tear from their eyes and there shall no longer be any death. There shall no longer be any mourning or crying or pain. The first things have passed away -- There the wicked cease from raging and there the weary are at rest.
      Lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in or steal for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also -- Keep seeking the things above where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth.
 

THE sting of death is sin -- but now once at the consummation of the ages He has been manifested to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment, so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, shall appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin to those who eagerly await Him.
      Since then the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil and might deliver those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives.
      For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure has come. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith. In the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous Judge will award to me on that day and not only to me but also to all who have loved His appearing -- who are waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our body.

THEY weary themselves committing iniquity -- I see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind, and making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is in my members. Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death?

      Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. -- Having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ through Whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand and we exult in hope of the glory of God.

      The one who has entered His rest has himself also rested from his works as God did from His.-- Not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith -- This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest and this is the refreshing:
 

IF Thou, LORD, shouldst mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? -- Because they were rebellious against His Spirit, He spoke rashly with his lips.
      Not what enters into the mouth defiles the man, but what proceeds out of the mouth, this defiles the man.
      A slanderer separates intimate friends. --There is one who speaks rashly like the thrusts of a sword, But the tongue of the wise brings healing. Truthful lips will be established forever, But a lying tongue is only for a moment. -- But no one can tame the tongue; it is a restless evil and full of deadly poison. From the same mouth come both blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be this way.

         Put...aside: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and abusive speech from your mouth. Do not lie to one another since you laid aside the old self with its evil practices. -- For this is the will of God, your sanctification. -- No lie was found in their mouth. They are blameless.
     

THY fame went forth among the nations on account of thy beauty, for it was perfect because of My splendor which I bestowed on thee declares the Lord GOD. -- We all with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.--The Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.

      How blessed is everyone who fears the LORD, Who walks in His ways. When you shall eat of the fruit of your hands, You will be happy and it will be well with you -- Commit your works to the LORD, And your plans will be established.

      Work out your salvation with fear and trembling for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure. -- May our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us eternal comfort and good hope by grace, comfort and strengthen your hearts in every good work and word.

THERE is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.-- the LORD used to speak to Moses face to face, just as a man speaks to his friend. -- "You are My friends, if you do what I command you. "No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you.
      When you do all the things which are commanded you, say, 'We are unworthy slaves'.
       You have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, "Abba! Father!"
      In everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.-- The prayer of the upright is His delight.

THUS says the LORD "I remember concerning you the devotion of your youth, the love of your betrothals, your following after Me in the wilderness -- I will remember My covenant with you in the days of your youth and I will establish an everlasting covenant with you -- I will visit you and fulfill My good word to you... for I know the plans that I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.

      As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts -- I would seek God and I would place my cause before God Who does great and unsearchable things wonders without number -- Many O LORD my God are the wonders which Thou hast done and Thy thoughts toward us. There is none to compare with Thee. If I would declare and speak of them, they would be too numerous to count.
 

NOT one of the good promises which the LORD had made to the house of Israel failed. All came to pass -- God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken and will He not make it good?
      Jehovah your God He is God the faithful God, Who keeps His covenant and His lovingkindness to a thousandth generation with those who love Him and keep His commandments -- He will remember His covenant forever.
      Can a woman forget her nursing child and have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget but I will not forget you. Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands.
      Jehovah your God is in your midst a victorious warrior. He will exult over you with joy, He will be quiet in His love, He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.

THE name of the LORD is a strong tower. The righteous runs into it and is safe -- I will trust and not be afraid for the LORD GOD is my strength and song and He has become my salvation.
      I have been young and now I am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his descendants begging bread -- For the LORD loves justice and does not forsake His godly ones. They are preserved forever. But the descendants of the wicked will be cut off -- The LORD will not abandon His people on account of His great name, because the LORD has been pleased to make you a people for Himself -- He delivered us from so great a peril of death and will deliver us, He on Whom we have set our hope. And He will yet deliver us.
      Be content with what you have for He Himself has said "I WILL NEVER DESERT YOU NOR WILL I EVER FORSAKE YOU" so that we confidently say "THE LORD IS MY HELPER. I WILL NOT BE AFRAID. WHAT SHALL MAN DO TO ME?"
 

SEARCH will be made for the iniquity of Israel, but there will be none and for the sins of Judah but they will not be found for I shall pardon those whom I leave as a remnant -- Who is a God like Thee, who pardons iniquity and passes over the rebellious act of the remnant of His possession? He does not retain His anger forever, because He delights in unchanging love. He will again have compassion on us. He will tread our iniquities under foot. Yes Thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.
      He has made you accepted in the Beloved -- in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach.
      Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.

THERE are many saying, "Who will show us any good?" Lift up the light of Thy countenance upon us, O LORD! Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than when their grain and new wine abound.

      As the deer pants for the water brooks, so my soul pants for Thee, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. -- O God, Thou art my God. I shall seek Thee earnestly. My soul thirsts for Thee, my flesh yearns for Thee in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
      "I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall not hunger and he who believes in Me shall never thirst." Lord, evermore give us this bread -- Mary...was listening to the Lord's word seated at His feet. -- One thing I have asked from the LORD, that I shall seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to meditate in His temple.

     The peace of God...surpasses all comprehension -- let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body.
      May our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us eternal comfort and good hope by grace comfort and strengthen your hearts in every good work and word -- Who shall also confirm you to the end, blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
 

LET them construct a sanctuary for Me, that I may dwell among them -- I will meet there with the sons of Israel, and it shall be consecrated by My glory. And I will dwell among the sons of Israel and will be their God.

         Thou hast ascended on high, Thou hast led captive Thy captives. Thou hast received gifts among men, even among the rebellious also, that the LORD God may dwell there -- We are the temple of the living God just as God said "I WILL DWELL IN THEM AND WALK AMONG THEM AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE -- your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you -- You...are are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit.
       The nations will know that I am the LORD Who sanctifies Israel, when My sanctuary is in their midst forever.

 

TO us there is but one God, the Father, from Whom are all things and we exist for Him and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by Whom are all things and we exist through Him -- All (should) honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father Who sent Him -- Through Him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name -- He who offers a sacrifice of thanksgiving honors Me and to him who orders his way aright I shall show the salvation of God.
      After these things I looked and behold a great multitude, which no one could count from every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes and palm branches were in their hands and they cry out with a loud voice saying "Salvation to our God who sits on the throne and to the Lamb. Amen, blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might, be to our God forever and ever. Amen."
 

THEIR Redeemer is strong, the LORD of hosts (Jehovah Sabaoth) is His name -- I will ransom them from the power of Sheol. I will redeem them from death. O Death, where are your thorns? O Sheol, where is your sting?
      Since then the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil and might deliver those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives.
      He who believes in the Son has eternal life but he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.
      For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, Who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory -- when He comes to be glorified in His saints on that day and to be marveled at among all who have believed.

 

CHRIST Jesus, Who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption -- Can you discover the depths of God? Can you discover the limits of the Almighty? They are high as the heavens, what can you do? Deeper than Sheol, what can you know?
       We speak God's wisdom in a mystery, the hidden wisdom, which God predestined before the ages to our glory -- The mystery which for ages has been hidden in God, who created all things in order that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known through the church to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly places.
      If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all men generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him --  The wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy.
 

WATCHMAN how far gone is the night? The watchman says "Morning comes".
Yet in a very little while, He Who is coming will come and will not delay -- He is as the light of the morning when the sun rises, a morning without clouds

      I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful. You heard that I said to you, 'I go away, and I will come to you.'

      Let all Thine enemies perish, O LORD but let those who love Him be like the rising of the sun in its might -- the people who know their God will display strength and take action -- for you are all sons of light and sons of day. We are not of night nor of darkness.

      There shall be no night there
 

CAST your burden upon the LORD, and He will sustain you He will never allow the righteous to be shaken -- I will trust and not be afraid for the LORD Jehovah GOD is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation.
      Why are you timid, you men of little faith? -- Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus -- In quietness and trust is your strength.
      The work of righteousness will be peace, and the service of righteousness, quietness and confidence forever -- Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful -- Peace, from Him Who is and Who was and Who is to come.
 

IF your brother sins, go and reprove him in private; if he listens to you, you have won your brother... Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? Up to seven times?" Jesus said to him "I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven --whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your transgressions.

      Put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you -- Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.

      The apostles said to the Lord, "Increase our faith!"
 

WHEN you pray, say: Our Father in heaven.-- My Father and your Father...My God and your God. As the Father gave Me commandment, even so I do.-- The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father abiding in Me does His works.
      The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into His hand. -- Thou gavest Him authority over all mankind, that to all whom Thou hast given Him, He may give eternal life.
      Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us. Jesus said to him, Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how do you say, Show us the Father?  Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? -- I and the Father are one. -- Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father's commandments, and abide in His love.
 

HIS appearance was marred more than any man, and His form more than the sons of men.-- He was pierced through for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, and by His scourging we are healed.
      This hour and the power of darkness are yours. -- You would have no authority over Me, unless it had been given you from above.
      The Son of God appeared for this purpose, that He might destroy the works of the devil. -- He cast out many demons and He was not permitting the demons to speak, because they knew who He was.
      All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.-- even the demons are subject...in [His] name.
      The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.
 

IF then you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. For...your life is hidden with Christ in God -- Our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ Who will transform the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of His glory, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself.

       The flesh sets its desire against the Spirit and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please.
      So then, brethren, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh-- for if you are living according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live -- Beloved I urge you as aliens and strangers to abstain from fleshly lusts, which wage war against the soul..

ONE who is weak in faith -- strong in faith, giving glory to God --O you of little faith, why did you doubt? -- Your faith is great. Be it done for you as you wish."
      Do you believe that I am able to do this?" They said to Him, Yes, Lord...Be it done to you according to your faith.
      Lord, Increase our faith! --  Building yourselves up on your most holy faith. --Firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith. -- He who establishes us with you in Christ...is God. -- After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace...will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you.
      We who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of those without strength and not just please ourselves -- Let us not judge one another anymore, but rather determine this, not to put an obstacle or a stumbling block in a brother's way.
 

THE Father loves the Son, and has given all things into His hand. -- God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE SHOULD BOW, of those who are in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father -- and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in the one to come -- By Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities. All things have been created by Him and for Him.
      Christ died and lived again, that He might be Lord both of the dead and of the living -- In Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority. -- Of His fulness we have all received, and grace upon grace.

      See My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself; touch Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have. And when He had said this, He showed them His hands and His feet.-- And he who has seen has borne witness, and his witness is true; and he knows that he is telling the truth, so that you also may believe.
      For we did not follow cleverly devised tales when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty -- that your faith should not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God.

Yes, Thou wilt cast all their sins Into the depths of the sea -- O LORD my God, I cried to Thee for help, and Thou didst heal me. O LORD, Thou hast brought up my soul from Sheol. Thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. -- While I was fainting away, I remembered the LORD and my prayer came to Thee, into Thy holy temple. -- I waited patiently for the LORD and He inclined to me, and heard my cry. He brought me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay and He set my feet upon a Rock making my footsteps firm -- For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle. In the secret place of His tent He will hide me. He will lift me up on a Rock.
 

NOW we see in a mirror dimly -- we do not yet see all things subjected to Him.
We have the prophetic word...more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts. -- Thy word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path -- All things become visible when they are exposed by the light.
      You, beloved, ought to remember the words that were spoken beforehand by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ that they were saying to you, "In the last time there shall be mockers, following after their own ungodly lusts." -- The Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons. -- But evil men and impostors will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.
     Children, it is the last hour. -- The night is almost gone, and the day is at hand. Let us therefore lay aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. Put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts.
 

HIM who has been made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, because of the suffering of death...that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone -- One died for all. -- As through the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the One the many will be made righteous.
      The first man, Adam, became a living soul. The last Adam became a life-giving spirit...the spiritual is not first, but the natural; then the spiritual.-- God said "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness...and God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him.-- God...in these last days has spoken to us in His Son...the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature -- Thou gave Him authority over all mankind.

      The first man is from the earth, earthy. The second man is from heaven. As is the earthy, so also are those who are earthy and as is the heavenly, so also are those who are heavenly.
 

IT is written, "THINGS WHICH EYE HAS NOT SEEN AND EAR HAS NOT HEARD AND which HAVE NOT ENTERED THE HEART OF MAN, ALL THAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM." For to us God revealed them through the Spirit --The Spirit of truth...will guide you into all the truth.
      BEHOLD, HE IS COMING WITH THE CLOUDS, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him. Even so. Amen.
     We do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve, as do the rest who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus....For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and thus we shall always be with the Lord.
 

WHOEVER wishes to become great among you, shall be your servant; whoever wishes to be first among you shall be your slave just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.
      if anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself -- For through the grace given to me I say to every man...not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith -- when you do all the things which are commanded you, say, 'We are unworthy slaves; we have done only that which we ought to have done.'
      Our proud confidence is this...that in holiness and godly sincerity, not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God, we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially toward you -- We have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the surpassing greatness of the power may be of God and not from ourselves -- Not that we are adequate in ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God.
 

NOAH .began farming and planted a vineyard: and he drank of the wine and became drunk, and uncovered himself inside his tent -- Abram...said to Sarai his wife, "See now, I know that you are a beautiful woman. Please say that you are my sister so that it may go well with me because of you, and that I may live on account of you --Isaac said to Jacob... "Are you really my son Esau?" And he said I am.-- Moses . . . spoke rashly with his lips -- the men of Israel took some of their provisions, and did not ask for the counsel of the LORD and Joshua made peace with them.-- David did what was right in the sight of the LORD, and had not turned aside from anything that He commanded him all the days of his life, except in the case of Uriah the Hittite.
      All these...gained approval through their faith -- being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus -- The LORD has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him.
      I am not doing this for your sake declares the Lord GOD, let it be known to you. Be ashamed and confounded for your ways.
 

THE Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth -- You have magnified Your word above all Your name.
      THEY SHALL CALL HIS NAME IMMANUEL which translated means, GOD WITH US -- Jesus, for it is He who will save His people from their sins.
      All may honor the Son, even as they honor the Father -- God highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name -- Far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in the one to come and He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church -- He has a name written upon Him which no one knows except Himself...KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. -- The Almighty-we cannot find Him --  What is His name or His son's name? Surely you know!
 

YOU belong to Christ; and Christ belongs to God -- I am my beloved's, and His desire is for me.--I am His.-- The Son of God...loved me, and delivered Himself up for me.
      You are not your own...you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body -- the LORD has taken you and brought you out of the iron furnace, from Egypt, to be a people for His own possession, as today.
      We are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, God's building -- Christ was faithful as a Son over His house whose house we are, if we hold fast our confidence and the boast of our hope firm until the end -- A spiritual house for a holy priesthood.
      They will be Mine says the LORD of hosts, on the day that I prepare My own possession -- All things that are Mine are Thine, and Thine are Mine. -- The riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.
 

HE is like a refiner's fire and like fullers' soap and He will sit as a smelter and purifier of silver, and He will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver, so that they may present to the LORD offerings in righteousness
      We also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us -- It is for discipline that you endure; God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom his father does not discipline? But if you are without discipline, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate children and not sons. All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness. Therefore, strengthen the hands that are weak and the knees that are feeble and make straight paths for your feet...bear with this word of exhortation, for I have written to you briefly.
 

THUS says the high and exalted One Who lives forever, whose name is Holy, I dwell on a high and holy place, and also with the contrite and lowly of spirit in order to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.
      It is better to be of a humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud -- Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

      There are six things which the LORD hates, yes, seven which are an abomination to Him: haughty eyes. -- Everyone who is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD.
      Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me and know my anxious thoughts and see if there be any hurtful way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way.
      Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank my God in all my remembrance of you -- Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth. He leads the humble in justice, and He teaches the humble His way.
 

O LORD, Thou art my God. I will exalt Thee, I will give thanks to Thy name for Thou hast worked wonders, plans formed long ago, with perfect faithfulness -- The LORD is the portion of my inheritance and my cup; Thou dost support my lot.
      He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil; for Thou art with me. Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me -- Thou hast taken hold of my right hand. With Thy counsel Thou wilt guide me and afterward receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but Thee? And besides Thee, I desire nothing on earth. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever -- Our heart rejoices in Him, because we trust in His holy name -- The LORD will accomplish what concerns me. Thy lovingkindness, O LORD, is everlasting. Do not forsake the works of Thy hands. -- The LORD will not abandon His people nor will He forsake His inheritance.
 

WHEN my heart is faint, lead me to the Rock that is higher than I. -- O Lord, I am oppressed, be my security.

      Cast your burden upon the LORD, and He will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.
      I am but a little child; I do not know how to go out or come in -- If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, Who gives to all men generously and without reproach and it will be given to him.
      Who is adequate for these things? -- I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh. -- My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness -- Take courage My son your sins are forgiven... Daughter take courage. Your faith has made you well.
      My soul is satisfied as with marrow and fatness... when I remember Thee on my bed I meditate on Thee in the night watches. -- The LORD is my strength and song and He has become my salvation.
 

I AM the LORD. Those who hopefully wait for Me will not be put to shame -- Blessed is the man that trusts in the LORD, and whose hope is the LORD -- The steadfast of mind Thou wilt keep in perfect peace, because he trusts in Thee. Trust in the LORD forever for in GOD the LORD, we have an everlasting Rock -- My soul, wait in silence for God only for my hope is from Him. He only is my Rock and my salvation, My stronghold. I shall not be shaken -- I am not ashamed for I know whom I have believed
      God desiring even more to show to the heirs of the promise the unchangeableness of His purpose, interposed with an oath, in order that by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have strong encouragement, we who have fled for refuge in laying hold of the hope set before us. This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and one which enters within the veil, where Jesus has entered as a forerunner for us, having become a high priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.

IF anyone wishes to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me.
  You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? -- Through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God.
       He who believes in Him will not be disappointed -- But for those who disbelieve the Stone which the builders rejected, this became the very Corner Stone and a Stone of stumbling and a Rock of offense.
       But may it never be that I should boast, except in the Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. -- I have been crucified with Christ and it is no longer I who live but Christ lives in me -- Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
       If we endure, we shall also reign with Him. If we deny Him, He also will deny us.

     Therefore, beloved, since you look for these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless -- Keep yourselves in the love of God -- Abstain from every form of evil. Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is He who calls you and He also will bring it to pass.
     Be patient, strengthen your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand -- I am coming quickly and My reward is with Me to render to every man according to what he has done.
 

MY well-beloved had a vineyard on a fertile hill.
 And He dug it all around, removed its stones, And planted it with the choicest vine and ...He expected it to produce good grapes -- Yet I planted you a choice vine, a completely faithful seed. How then have you turned yourself before Me Into the degenerate shoots of a foreign vine?       
      Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality...envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you just as I have forewarned you that those who practice such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
     I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it, that it may bear more fruit....Abide in Me, and I in you...By this is My Father glorified, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples -- Let your light shine before men.
 

HE made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him -- Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us-- this is His name by which He will be called The LORD our righteousness -- Who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption -- not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, Whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior

      I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for Whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish in order that I may gain Christ, and may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith -- for the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written The righteous man shall live by faith.   
 

JESUS... lifting up His eyes to heaven... said Father... Holy Father... O righteous Father -- He was saying Abba, Father. -- Because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying Abba! Father! -- for through Him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father. So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God's household.
     For Thou art our Father...Thou, O LORD, art our Father, our Redeemer from ages past is Thy name. -- Therefore, come out from their midst & be separate says the LORD and do not touch what is unclean and I will welcome you and I will be a Father to you and you shall be sons and daughters to Me
     I will get up and go to my Father, and will say to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in your sight... and he got up and came to his Father.
      Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children -- like the Holy One who called you be holy yourselves also in all your behavior.
 

BELOVED do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal among you, which comes upon you for your testing, as though some strange thing were happening to you but to the degree that you share the sufferings of Christ, keep on rejoicing so that also at the revelation of His glory, you may rejoice with exultation -- as you are sharers of our sufferings, so also you are sharers of our comfort.
      If you are reviled for the Name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you...if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not feel ashamed, but in that Name let him glorify God.
      They went on their way from the presence of the Council, rejoicing that they had been considered worthy to suffer shame for His Name -- Behold, My servants shall shout joyfully with a glad heart -- choosing rather to endure ill-treatment with the people of God, than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, considering the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt... looking to the reward -- Behold, I am coming quickly and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done.     

UPON  that which resembled a throne, high up, was a figure with the appearance of a man. Then I noticed from the appearance of His loins and upward something like glowing metal that looked like fire all around within it and from the appearance of His loins and downward I saw something like fire and there was a radiance around Him... Such was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD -- We all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit -- it has not appeared as yet what we shall be. We know that, when He appears, we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him just as He is.
      To them I will give in My house and within My walls a memorial and a name better than that of sons and daughters. I will give them an everlasting name which will not be cut off -- They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore, neither shall the sun beat down on them, nor any heat -- Behold, I tell you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet for the trumpet will sound and the dead will be raised imperishable and we shall be changed. For this perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality.  
 

GOD....in these last days has spoken to us in His Son... and He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high -- He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

      Conduct yourselves in fear during the time of your stay upon earth knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold... but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ.
      For He was foreknown before the foundation of the world, but has appeared in these last times for the sake of you -- The love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that One died for all, therefore all died and He died for all, that they who live should no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf. --  For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.
 

FOR I have no pleasure in the death of anyone who dies declares the Lord GOD. Therefore, repent and live.
      If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin.
      That slave who knew his master's will and did not get ready or act in accord with his will, shall receive many lashes -- For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord -- He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him -- Do you not know that when you present yourselves to someone as slaves for obedience, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin resulting in death, or of obedience resulting in righteousness?
       If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there shall My servant also be; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him --for those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me will be lightly esteemed.
 

WHEN when they arrest you and deliver you up, do not be anxious beforehand about what you are to say, but say whatever is given you in that hour; for it is not you who speak, but it is the Holy Spirit.-- Do not be anxious for tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
      The God of Israel Himself gives strength and power to the people. Blessed be God! -- He gives strength to the weary, And to him who lacks might He increases power.

      "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness." Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may dwell in me. Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ's sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong -- I can do all things through Him who strengthens me -- O my soul, march on with strength.

All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness.--The fruit of the Spirit.
      He removes it by His rough wind in the day of the east wind.  
      Just as a father has compassion on his children, So the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him.
      Though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
      Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from the things which He suffered.-- One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.
 

O LORD, Thou hast searched me and known me. Thou dost know when I sit down and when I rise up. Thou dost understand my thought from afar. Thou dost scrutinize my path and my lying down, And art intimately acquainted with all my ways. Even before there is a word on my tongue, behold, O LORD, Thou dost know it all...Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is too high, I cannot attain to it.
      The eyes of the LORD are in every place, watching the evil and the good -- The ways of a man are before the eyes of the LORD, and He watches all his paths -- God knows your hearts; for that which is highly esteemed among men is detestable in the sight of God -- The eyes of the LORD move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His.
      Jesus...did not need anyone to bear witness concerning man for He Himself knew what was in man -- Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.
 

HE who offers a sacrifice of thanksgiving honors Me and to him who orders his way aright I shall show the salvation of God -- It is good to give thanks to the LORD, And to sing praises to Thy name, O Most High, to declare Thy lovingkindness in the morning and Thy faithfulness by night -- Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD!
      I urge you... brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship -- Jesus... that He might sanctify the people through His own blood, suffered outside the gate...Through Him then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name -- always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father;
      Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing.
 

IF anyone wishes to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me --So therefore, no one of you can be My disciple who does not give up all his own possessions -- Let us therefore lay aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.
      Everyone who competes in the games exercises self-control in all things. They then do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. Therefore I run in such a way, as not without aim; I box in such a way, as not beating the air but I buffet my body and make it my slave, lest possibly, after I have preached to others, I myself should be disqualified-- Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus -- So let us...press on to know the LORD. His going forth is as certain as the dawn and He will come to us like the rain, like the spring rain watering the earth.
 

TRAIN up a child in the way he should go, Even when he is old he will not depart from it.
      we had earthly fathers to discipline us, and we respected them; shall we not much rather be subject to the Father of spirits, and live? For they disciplined us for a short time as seemed best to them, but He disciplines us for our good, that we may share His holiness.
      Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I keep Thy word. It is good for me that I was afflicted, that I may learn Thy statutes.
     I know the plans that I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope -- Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time -- Whoever exalts himself shall be humbled and whoever humbles himself shall be exalted -- A man's pride will bring him low, but a humble spirit will obtain honor.


 

FIGHT the good fight of faith --The weapons of our warfare are not fleshly, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.
      Brethren, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh for if you are living according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
     The flesh sets its desire against the Spirit and the Spirit against the flesh for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please -- I see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind, and making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is in my members -- We overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.
 

IF anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous; and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world -- Whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith. This was to demonstrate His righteousness, because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed for the demonstration, I say, of His righteousness at the present time, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.
      Let Him be gracious to him and say, Deliver him from going down to the pit, I have found a ransom.
      What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? Who will bring a charge against God's elect? God is the one Who justifies.
